We developed India's first utility scale solar project in 2009 and since then, Azure Power has grown rapidly to become a leader in developing and operating renewable energy projects in the country. In the early days of our journey, we were fortunate to earn the trust and backing of renowned development institutions like the International Finance Corporation (IFC), PROPARCO, and the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO). One of our proudest milestones was becoming the first Indian energy company to list a solar green bond on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) — a big step forward for clean energy financing from India.
